AIM Problems

whenever I leave AIM up like with an away message up, I always come back later, and the buddy list is gone but its still showing that I'm signed on down on the little icon at the bottom... but as soon as i run my mouse over the icon it disappears and i sign off... anybody know what the fuck could be up? it sucks cuz i cant leave an away message up and i lose any messages that i had
