exactly... the fact u didnt do it doesnt show strength simply cos u thought about it..... it shows one of two things

a) you was too scared to carry out what u wanted to do

b) your simply not THAT stupid to actually go ahead with it

Wanting to commit suicide does not mean you are a weak person. I know someone who has been through several attempts and to actually go through with it, you cannot be weak. Imagine you're sitting there with razor blade or overdose pills or whatever but you still have to take that final step. I don't think I could do it, I'm too much of a coward to try to kill myself. You have to realize the state of mind they are in at that exact point, they have the choice between to live or to die. They can end their life right there, a weak person wouldn't come that far. A weak person would just hide, run away from problems and sink even deeper. But someone who wants to commit suicide decides for himself he doesn't want to live this life anymore and that he doesn't want to run anymore but just end it all...that's not weak in my eyes...

somebody who is TRUELY strong within themselves, wouldnt concider suicide, they would face their problems search for help if they need the help and fight through the hard times rather than looking for an easy way out

ive had 3 people in my life commit suicide, 1 of them was extremely close to me(not goin to explain exactly how close cos that shit is jus too deep)... people get in that suicidal state of mind because things get hard, they cant cope with what life is throwing at them, they quite simply are not strong enough to fight through it and go on, so they look for the quick and easy way out of it, n the only way is death... example, the person i talked about previously took her life cos her brother was killed in a car crash, now that kid was like family to me, plus i was having family troubles aswell as bein in trouble with sum bad people, and at the time we just found out my grandad was slowly dieing, n then she commited suicide cos she cudnt live without her brother..... now thats enough shit to drive people to suicide in a split second, i could have let it drag me down, n get suicidal, instead i didnt, i stayed strong, i continued to fight through the hard times and here i am happier than ever. i never even concidered suicide, all i ever thought was, im goin to get through it.

suicidal people have been proven to be self centered because they feel takin their own life isnt going to effect anybody else around them.

the fact that when times get rough, and u want a quick way out of it instead of fighting through it, makes you weak... plain n simple

I can understand why you think it's so stupid.

I am really sorry to hear about that man...

But think about it...I overcame it.

You should be happy about it, if you like me or not, because another person didnt die the same way as your friends did.
