I Got my FIrst LIL Gig thing...i get to perform 2 songs at this lil Club

shit is gonna be mad crazy becuase i aint ever did a show before.......im not sure about the slightest lil details and all that shit...........

YUp anyone got any pointers and shit..........

what i plan on doing is some open mic nights before the Show.,..so i can get some stage practice........my gig is on Febuary 10.......

make sure u know ur lyrics off to of ur head... move around the stage as much as u can, dont look to the floor, try making eye contact with the crowed(it helps with u looking confident) dont jus t shout ur lyrics.. alot of rappers make that mistake, yes, put some more energy into it... but not that much more because u still need to keep ur delivery rather much the same to help the ppl feel wat ur sayin.... but the most important thing, have fun

I highly doubt i will fuck up.............when i record in the booth i be moving around hellamuch so im just gonna do it like i was in my booth but move around and take over the stage...the only thing will be the Stage fright...but once i get over that i will do fine.....thats why i wanna try some open mics first......Would that help me?

theres a chance, but its not guaranteed just cos its a first time, the worse thing that might go wrong is u forget ur lyrics, no matter how well u kno em we've all done it at some point, if that happens, do NOT stop, just freestyle ur way through it, if u let the crowed notice uve fucked up, u are pretty fucked, but when ive got a gig coming up, i allways practice every night for about 2-3 hours for a week before the gig to make sure that everything is set, everything is known e.t.c to make sure that the chances of fucking up are minimal.

if u get nervous, have a few beers before hand, dont get drunk, but just a couple for that "dutch courage" n ull be fine

LOL word...well tis not a dance club...its more of a Cafe type place.......i dont think people will really eb dancing just peopel there for the Girls and Drinks...........and the live entertianment.........and yea im gona practice before...........on my second song i will do better becuasde the stage fright will be gone

lol @ tellin the poor guy to drink before the show. When a dudes nervous he doesn't know to only have a few he keeps drinking... That'll make you fuck up for sure... And you should be moving around in the booth?? You should stay still in the booth, and move round on stage but not both, and not vice versa. Make sure you know your stuff for SURE, and if you performin with someone else, work on how ya'll will move as a unit on stage... I hate when i spit with a new dude, and he crowds me all on one side of the stage, move around, and whoever is spittin always stays out front. word. i dunno what else to say other than good luck bro.

definately will man, jus hit em as much as possible help boost ur stage confidence n shit, even if u end up just walkin up n down the stage rather than like jumpin around it n being all hype n shit, just dont stand one spot, cos a)u wont enjoy it and b) neither will ur audience.

dont worry bout stage fright before u go up, i did that and it made it harder, but seriously, wen u first get up there it might be nerve racking as fuck, but once u get into it man, ull fuckin love it... ever since my first time on a stage, i cant get enough of it, seriously, im addicted to the stage

i agree, except the drink, i allways have about -5 beers before i go up, ive never gone up drunk, but enough beers in me to give me that alcohol induced confidence so i put alot more into my performance lol nah the first few times the beer helped, now its just natural to get up n have fun.

as for hype man, it helps in a BIG way, it helps with the crowed interaction e.t.c, theres only so much u can do when ur spitting ur song e.t.c to get the crowed feeling it, so it helps to have sum1 jumping around shouting n gettin the crowed involved e.t.c whilst u cant cos ur droppin a verse or whatever
