How Do You Contribute to Hip Hop?

I see poeple who dress like they are part of Hip Hop, but when I ask them if they do anything classified as Hip Hop, they say no, which basically tells me, 'I want to be cool' is mainly why they dress that way.
So do you rap, graffiti, beat box, DJ, or breakdance?
