The real estate market is going down right now. It peaked last June and now it's heading back. You can't sell a house that's worth $300,000 for $400,000 anymore.

Not necessarily. He has to do some research for what houses are selling for around that area. He has to look at the size of those houses, etc. and then figure out what a good asking price would be based on that. Like, if houses that have around the same number of square feet are selling for $275,000. . he can't ask for $400,000 or whatever. Everybody would just go to the less priced houses. However, if houses around his area are selling for $400,000 he could easily price his to $450,000 and make quite a bit of money. It all depends on how houses are doing around his area.

What's going on in his area is huge. I don't know it because who in the hell likes to study the trends of the real estate market? Haha. I just know that it peaked last year, and now it's going down. So yeah. . I'd say it'd be best the try and sell the house sooner rather than later.
