how do u battle nerves

so i was at school today and people wanted me to rap so i was gunna but nerves got a hold of me and when i was just about to spit i messed up on my first line then the teacher told us to pack up so i never got to spit and nerves got the best of me
 so wtf do i do to get rid of the nervous and scared felling u get b4 u spit? |

Just think about what you're doing.
What do those people mean to you... Do they even matter? You can freestyle while you're by yourself, which means you're capable of doing it. So whats stopping you from doing it in front of people? Most likely its fear of what they will think of you. So forget your nerves, just do what you know you can do and they will be impressed.

Yeah man.. I was pretty much gonna say what terumoto said...
Never be nervous around people, because their just like you... Society today is full of insecure fucks, you just have to break out of that mindframe. Try doing this, write maybe 3 or 4 lines at home, memorise them and use them as a starter.. Just spit those lines then freestyle everything after them..... It sounds like your problem is being too nervous to start, so if you sit there and practice those few lines as a starting point at home... You'll quickly become good enough to just throw into a freestyle after them once your on the spot at school...... And I assure you that once you start and get a bit of respect from these cats... Your nervousness wont be a problem any more.. |
