I think it can all be easily handled with timed drops. Simply state a deadline, like 30 minutes or an hour and enforce it. If peeps miss the deadline by a couple of minutes. Cool. If they miss it by an hour or so, have a mod close the battle and withdraw your verse. There's a difference between missing a deadline cuz your computer froze up. That's missin it by a couple, ten minutes at the most. Cats are clearly pre-writing or suffering writer's block if they miss by too much more than that.
Simple. Have the mods (sorry, more work for you guys) enforce the timed deadlines. That's how to solve the problem.

And the reason for it probably is.....they'll then have your verse to feed off.........Resulting in more lines......Leaving them less work

I want other people to spit first in case they no show if I spit first, since you don't get wins for no shows it is just a waste of a spit. So no shows are a big part of why I make the other people spit first.

^those were reasonable... first guy could have taken a nap... but then again could have written up a verse... at least you know what to expect now... best way is to pm and ask them to drop at the same time as you... before you... then honestly drop immediately after them

yall bitchin about no shows in text? imagine that in audio. they say you spit first. you do it then they never show.

i've battled 3 times and i've spit first 2 times the other time we dropped about 5 min apart...............he just happened to get impatient and drop first........i dunno it's a big thing to some folks...i only battle when i'm bored and i'm like it's just text...who cares..........they have no confidence in themselves why worry about it...........what about battles getting slept on isn't that a bigger concern.....at least thats what everyone bitches about....
