exactly what ^^^ said, but audacity is one of the best editing pro's acid works too, but its not the best for editing....

Acid Pro 4.0 - Recording vocals, chopping/sampling, mixing tracks
Sound Forge 7 (just upgraded from 6) - vocal editing, mastering
FLStudio Producer Edition - Beat making
Cubase - Beat Making
Traktor DJ 2.0 w/dm2 controller - remixing

i use cubase vst that came with my audigy 2 platinum card. pretty damn nice
