Independent's Day 2004 (ID2004) is a one day music conference geared toward unsigned artists, producers and labels on how independent artists can put out their own project using the resources available in their community. Music industry professionals from Washington, DC, New York and surrounding areas will be on hand to educate these aspiring musicians on how to put out an independent project, market their brand and sell their records to their target audience.

ID 2004 combines six power panels, DJ battle, Power Networking Session, Unsigned Showcase and After Party. It takes place Saturday, July 31 2004 at Studio 202 located at 39 New York Avenue, N.E in Washington, DC. Confirmed panelists include reps from Tower Records, AllHipHop.com, XM radio, Chucky Thompson, American Talent Agency, Up Againt the Wall, and lots more plus celebrities including Emily from J Records and Akinyele.
