if the world was mine, everyone would have a monkey
that kinda makes me laugh, its kinda funny
if you had a monkey what would you name it?
id name it La'Don nd i would playfully tame it
wed take long walks in the park, by moonlight
id leave the house hed say youll be home soon right?
upon my return wed play in our tree fort, no girls aloud
as my monkey grew up.. i grew so proud
watched my monkey la'don graduate first grade
i was there the first time my monkey got laid
we used to say best friends forever, 2-2-4
we watch football together nd say who you for?
id say im feelin the home team, he liked away
he used to tell me the stats id be like ya dont say
he used to buy me soda. nd rub my back
he used to pretend to stage a monkey attack
hed hide in the attic till i walked by
and when he jumped on my back id act surprised
then id throw him on the floor nd kick him in the face
then he sprayed my eyes down wit a bottle mace
nd im like whered you get that, man, what the fuck
hes like im runnin away man you fuckin suck
im like no La'Don you cant leave me now
im like how you gon walk out on me, man, how?
he said jus like this nd he hopped thru the door
then i heard my car start.. and i heard a roar
i went outside nd my ride was gone
i said i curse that monkey, fuck you La'Don
i called the police. they thought i was jokin
the dispatcher was like, kid what you smokin?
i said no for real the monkeys gettin away
they said ya ok.. nd i grew a 3rd arm today
i hung up the phone and sat there in aww
then i reminisced on the events i saw
i saw a monkey go to school, nd get some ass
i saw a monkey steal my car nd step on the gas
he drove away fast nd i was left with no pet
id have a monkey if the world was mine...
..........................but it aint mine yet
