Numark, one of the top DJ products and accessories company, recently announced the release of its iDJ Mixing Console for iPod portable music players.

The iDJ allows iPod users to turn their personal music player into a playback sound system. Meanwhile, DJs can use it as a turntable-like device.

The iDJ boosts the iPod's little recording capacity and allows the recording of voice notes. The iDJ includes two universal iPod docking stations that function with all iPod models. The two-channel mixer also features a large iPod navigation system, 3-band EQ that controls each channel, and a microphone input that includes tone and level control. Each channel also provides phono/line inputs where devices like CD players and samplers can be plugged in. The iDJ also includes a master output LED meter for users to check on audio signals and a high quality crossfader that allow to blend and alternate between the two channel's audio signals.

Numark's iDJ Mixing Console for iPod costs $399 at retail. It will be available in the third quarter of 2005.
