for all my crim'nals encaged, in pens they degrade.
for all the kids with dreams & parents little amazed...
...encouragin downfall. instead of escalatin the grades.
i do this for the homeless & the limbs of the strays.
this is for single mothers of 3, livin off minimum wage.
& for those makin a difference, deservin our praise.
i do this for my people.

& i give my all...to the preachers.
who do 9 to 5's killin thousand watt speakers.
for the hard workin, soul of a teacher.
tryin to infect the minds of kids doin bowls & reefer.
& for the strugglers, who got holes in they sneakers.
who we all should see beautiful, just as God sees her.
& i pray for the fiends, mixin captsuls in beakers.
i do this for my people.

& i send my deepest...to the soldiers.
feelin life is runnin away, cause they only gettin older.
for those who live dirty, lookin over they shoulder.
better zip up ya jackets, the hood only gets colder.
& to the ivy league recruits, failin over & over.
once you perspire, youll get ya badge & revolver.
& to the veterans today, thats livin bipollar.
