I wander in the valley of black, a remnant of my culture,
Listen to the sounds of the worms and of the vultures.
They know my style yet reject me like mismatched blood,
I start running for the bridge but I'm tripped and fall in mud.
Mockery surrounds me and they laugh as I try to stand,
Encouraged to taunt me by their fans I try and be a man.
But no one helps me so I give up for the time being,
Meaning that they can expect me back cuz what they seeing
Is not something that dies within the second of disbelief,
But that doesn't mean I don't feel their insults to my feet.
I let my pen speak for me, but no one will respect me,
Cuz I'm the odd one, but I wonder what they expect from me.
So I keep walking this path, in hopes I can cross the bridge,
Cuz I've been trying ever since I was a little kid.
