This movie "Brokeback Mountain"
IP:
It's a western/cowboy movie with a twist. Two of the main characters begin a gay relationship with each other and have to deal with obstacles preventing them from being together. It's basically like traditional cowboy flicks, except that instead of a woman being the object of desire, it's another man. I think it's good that Hollywood has finally decided to portray gay men in a NON-STEREOTYPICAL way and tell a serious love story. Normally, gay men are portrayed as comical, almost clown like in movies. There's almost never any represenation in movies of what MOST gay men are like, and that's normal everyday people.
Brokeback Mountain is in theaters now. |
