Actually, it's only fun to debate when the people you're debating with respect valid points and fact. It's not fun to debate with people who blow smoke and cross fact with belief. You can't have it both ways. That's what Apexx does. I've figured out his M.O. It's cool. Do your thing. But, I've pinpointed it exactly. His stance is that everything he holds as "true" should be quantifiable. That's absurd. Basically, ANYTHING, ANYTHING that you hold as "true" is an exercise in faith to some degree. Then, when someone brings in the topic of "belief" his assertion is that it's irrelevant because it can't be proven. This argument stifles the person he's "arguing" with because they don't accept his initial assertion of facts being "quantifiable." Therefore, he creates a loophole that allows him to "win" arguments by default. If he sets the rules to his own argument, then it's impossible to "beat" him. That's an old trick and the reason it's NOT FUN to "debate" with him. Apexx isn't always right. 1 |
