Hockey Is STILL Canada's Game
IP:
Sure, Carolina Hurricanes may have won the Stanley Cup. Edmonton Oilers was the Canadian side Vs. the US side.
I have heard a lot of Americans talking shit about how the US won it, but if you actually look Carolina's roster, only a couple people are from America, such as Doug Weight. A numer of players are from Europe, but the really stand out players such as Rod Brind'Amour, Eric Staal, and the goalie Cam Ward, are allllll CANADIAN. Here you go: #17 Rod Brind'Amour Birthplace: Ottawa, Ontario #30 Cam Ward Birthplace: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan #16 Andrew Ladd Birthplace: Maple Ridge, British Columbia #22 Mike Commodore Birthplace: Ft. Saskatchewan, Alberta #2 Glen Wesley Birthplace: Red Deer, Alberta #61 Cory Stillman Birthplace: Peterborough, Ontario #18, Mark Recchi Birthplace: Kamloops, British Columbia #13 Ray Whitney Birthplace: Fort Saskastchewan, Alberta #12 Eric Staal Birthplace: Thunder Bay, Ontario Hockey is still Canada's game. I'm proud of the Canadian players on Carolina Hurricanes for showing what we Canadians can do. |
