remakes ARE NOT sad attempts of personal success!

IP:

why do people see remakes of classic songs as an attempt to steal fame from other artist's successes. i mean it makes sense and that makes a really good arguement. but i see it as something diffrent. honestly if i grew up listening to lets say "dream on" by aerosmith and i grow up to be a famous rock star becuase of my inspiration that aerosmith and others have gave me then why not repay the favor as letting your influences shine through in your music? if that song became a part of me it'll only be right to put a part of me in that song am i right? and that goes for samples from old songs in rap and remakes in rock and pop music. all of that.
