Concept: I'm grappling with myself, with the knowledge of our ultimate fate--death--and my strong desire to live. The hook is actually the last 8 bars of each verse, which the producer set at 24. I decided that since the actual hook segment of the beat sounded more like a bridge, I'd talk over it. If you're not sure what/where the hook is, I repeat it over and over at the end.
