used to be a role model for the young and upcoming
dumping abundencies of knowledge,now for nothing
but i did gain one thing,these thoughts circling in my head
sure the herb will bring,one or two of these to bed
the bed time stories been read,i have time to reflect
upon my actions,the life ive lead,and what i need to collect
bettering my sense of self respect,left with no wealth
a man who might have been delt the better hands spell
with each letter comes new smells,some of hate,some of pride
each knelt inside,beside my heart,departing with the tides
it used to be art,each letter i would write,but thats all changed
came to realize the relationship between the iLL and lame
the pain gets relevied as i get brain in order to retreate
from this world,from the air i breath,but ensnared i cant leave
quicksand is beneath,and im seated permanently right here
some might stare,but do i care in the least?its hard to bear
the crumbling of a dried,dead leaf underneath the pressure
a lesser man would come to believe he's seen as a broken suture
but i see the future,and soon you will see along with me
your grip will be what you dont have,so dont laugh please
at my mishappenings,just think your heart stops with ease
as if you sneezed but next time youll find it hard to breathe
as my poetic steeze proceeds to bless these less fortunate
the ones who this has meant more to even as grown men
ill open the doors if you follow, ill let you in with arms spread
ill accept the ones forgotten and put the talkin to rest.....
