Re: THE SOURCE: Another Release From Benzino

A couple of questions and comments. .
Quote:
he’s really playing a game now with Black people to get some Black money or credibility in a Black industry by really ripping us off…He’s like Elvis Presley…he has talent but has exploited his whiteness in the hip-hop industry to garner himself millions and deceive the Black following…this is good that this has come out so that Black people can really see the true Eminem

What a disgraceful quotation; the double-standards run rampid. . What about African Americans who have "taken over" the NBA after it was invented and doctored by Dr. James Naismith and his (caucasian) followers? Regardless of race, marketing makes or breaks every single entertainer in every single form of entertainment - it's not debateable.

Further, he has refused to admit that such poisonous beliefs are a threat to the very music he loves, and also, to the people who have been responsible for creating the culture he has benefited from, making him wealthy by his own admission

If controversy (nee: money) is not positive for the industry of music and, more specifically - hip hop - what the hell is?

"I feel that there is a huge double standard when it comes to mainstream media holding people that are not of color accountable for their actions,” said Crazy Legs of the RockSteady Crew.

You're damned right, but it's the other way around, moron. What about the "legendary hip-hop" mainstay group NWA? "Fuck the Police," "Fuck the White Man," etc. They're glorified for their cheauvinistic views and opinions.

I sincerely hope that Eminem doesn't make an appearance because, frankly, it's a lose-lose situation for him. Good Luck, EM.
