The Escape...

The Escape
…the escape of a nightmare…  From a nightmare I awake, to a vial and wretched stench I find myself lonely, lying on a frozen park bench “Where am I?” I whispered, no sight of my home This place I stand and roam captures me as alone In the far I see a stone, covered in ashes… Blood stains on the cement floor, from possible slashes This place scares me, brings my bones in a clash My teeth rattle and shiver, while the cold air blasts Not knowing my surroundings, unsure of where this is… I notice a sloppy carving on the bench of where I sit “Captured” it read, a word I’ve spoken and said The last memory in head was sleeping dearly in my bed I’m dazed in a horrific maze, no way to get out… I’m scared for my life, and terrified to speak or shout “Are there people here?” I ask myself and wonder Observing the filthy stone, and notice something under I grabbed with sweaty hands, a letter covered in blood Afraid to read the content I throw it in a puddle of mud Now fearing for life, I dash for a safe escape… Headed for the light peering through the ceiling gape Early it seems, as the sun glistened the place A mind race, while my heart beats at a fast pace I need to escape, knowing my family awaits… Or will I sit here and wait ill I enter the pearly gates? I’m destined to be free, and destined to live… Seeing im only a child, I know I have a lot to give I sprint to the abandoned letter, an object I must read My fingers tare the paper, giving me a scare I don’t need I carefully take it out, being gentle as skin… To not read would cry a sin, I release the pride within “The nightmare is over” a break I so needed to take… Conscious awakes as I escape from my dream state #1 #2 Last edited by Textcee Bob : 07-12-05 at 11:31 PM. |
