Music is subjective. Us being rappers, we can probably see flaws in flow or lyrics..

But to average dudes, people like 50 cent are the best lyricists they've ever seen. How many normal people listen to canibus, and compare it with kanye, coming to the conclusion kanye is wack... Not many, if any. All they hear is a nice delivery, a nice beat, and nice lyrics, when in reality kanye's shit is average.

Im not talking about this through some small scope of "who is out now," as you put it. Out of the cats that get radio play presently, yeah kanye is probably the best. But out of those who got a lot of radio play in the past, those who dont get radio play, and underground rappers of the past and present, kanye is average. I agree...I was conversating wit a friend a mine about this.....u find alot of katz really obsessed wit lyrics....have wack flow, an no delivery or presence.......basically the knock on lyricists is they dun kno how to entertain...an entermainment is a big part of music.....BUT rap is a artform first an foremost...an what makes u a good rapper, we not even talking great...jus to be a good one........u gotta have a combination of flow, delivery, presence, an good lyrics.....if u missing any of those aspects....u aint a rapper period.
