No one gives a shit about slavery. The only people still talking about slavery are white people who say black people talk about slavery. Everyone were slaves at one time or another. What people are talking about is the present. White and asian people are kind of in the same position. Except asian people worship white ppl and white people accept their worship. Speaking in massivly general terms obviously though. But thats the only way to talk about this kind of shit.

I said in the post that I was generalizing. I also told you that it's neccecary when talking about things like this. Which I'm sure you already know, but you're trying to find holes in whatever I'm saying to feel better. I know all asian people or even most asian people don't worship white people. I was bringing that up considering the way things operate in America and how "approval" among the "elite" class is achieved.

I say asian people worship white people because its extremly obvious. Nearly every character in every anime show is white. Even video games like the extremly popular game, final fantasy is white. I highly doubt that they're truly proud of their race if their ideal image of beauty is always caucasion. With that same argument black people worship whites. Latin people don't. Latin people I can honestly say are proud of who they are. Black people are about as far away from white as you can get so people like that usually phail at life.

White is to Asian what black is to latin. The world's resources were divided and one set of people got the most of it and one set got the least. And its in this that they relate to eachother.

Now what becomes increasingly obvious about the word nigger is that its not only about the race of the person, but their personality. And personality goes beyond their accent or what music they listen to. Listening to rap or being part of the culture isn't what makes black people okay with certain white people saying nigger. You can tell just by how they say it and how they carry themselves. Most black people can tell from talking to a person if they're a potential nigger guy. Now when some white people say it, like you and Red bull, it almost seems like you're toying around with the word in general. Like you're flaunting your willingness to say the word and hiding behind intellectual advances.

Saying nigger isn't a privledge and a gate open to a secret world of freedom. It's not a "rule" that you have to obey it's just a personal line that has been set by society as a whole for a reason. Crossing this line isn't liberating anyone, you or anyone else. You might be wondering why some black people say nigger. Most black people today say it because they heard other people say it growing up and now it became just something they say. Some black people actually say it as a form of irony because it calls out the elephant in the room with how black people are still looked at in America.

By breaking the ice it makes them feel more confident about it and lets them embrace that pride thats been hiding under that self image. But again, most people just say it because they've heard it from other people. I just find it kinda annoying that the people who ask these questions the most are the ones who don't really want an answer. They just wanna raise questions they assume no one has the answer to so they can break that limitation down. I'm actually stereotyping some more. You're right I'm actually pretty good at this. I'm probably racist. Who knew. Oh thats right, you did.

Nigga just somehow replaced homie. The white person saying it in general would be considered wrong by most people, but I've seen some people be ok with it because they know their intentions behind it.

If compose or Rev or Blay said the word to me I'd be cool with it because I know they don't have any bullshit meanings behind it. Alot of people use it not because they look at black people as niggers but because they know black people don't want them to say it, therefore by saying it to them it means they're brave or some shit. Theres alot of complexities surrounding the word. It not only depends on the person itself, but their intentions behind it. I don't say it, but I don't care if black people or white people who I know say it. And by "say it" I mean just calling someone the word. Not just saying it in general.

exactly.

but i don't say it because i'm not an ignorant dumbass who wants to make a big deal over the fact that them and their precious little suburban friends can't say one word in the fuckin dictionary... boo hoody hoo. get over it. there is a historical reason why it is a sensitive word, and i think us not being able to say one word in the dictionary is a little bit trite compared to the REASON why we can't say it. and please, don't say "well i wasn't the one that enslaved anybody" because the answer to that is NO SHIT, thats why its called history. that is still the reason why tenderness surrounds that word in our society... or at least it should.

and this is not to even mention the absurdity of the fact that soooooo much discussion goes on over whether blacks should be able to say the "n word" when the majority of blacks live below the poverty line and are the victims of the oppression that has made their culture used to operating in the way it does, and NOBODY wants to talk about that. its such bullshit. seriously, think about what's important and what yall's little middle school mentality asses want to bitch and whine about.

ROFL.....

But yeah, I used to say nigga all the time. I'd say it to my white friends, black friends, it didn't matter. I'd say "I got away with it because......." but there was nothing to get away with. Its the way it flows from your tongue that lets people know how you're using it. If you say it with hesitation or looking around for acceptance, then you obviously know its wrong for you to say it, so you shouldn't have said it in the first place. But if you just say it in casual conversation daily with people who know you, there's really no harm in it. Wer had a dude in our neighborhood we called Nigga Mike cause there was too many Mikes in our crowd. He took no offense, it was just a way of identifying which Mike you were talking about.

And to be honest, I don't really use the word anymore. I outgrew it. It was part of my vocabulary when I was in Philly cause of what I was around. Now that I've been in the army for a long time, moving from place to place, I just stopped saying it

^ that isn't stereotypical. I'm in an African American Rhetoric class, and this type of thing comes up a lot... Du Bois, Hughes, Ellison, all of them spoke in terms like Indeph is. It isn't stereotyping, but instead it is a way of generalizing how other communities operate in order to properly observe how the African American community operates. Culture can't be ignored, and how Indeph is really speaking is in terms of culture. Not trying to correct you just because of our argument in that other thread, but that is a really important concept to understand... and i'll explain more what I mean if you want.

PS - I really wish somebody who i was addressing would respond and try to argue against that long ass argument i made.
