Aesop Rock and Sage Francis have both done some good rock like tracks (with rock instrumentals).

I really don't like Jay-Z or lenny kravitz but this song guns and roses would be great with a better mc, I was wondering if anyone heard it, and if so would wanna redo it. You should check it out, even if u hate Jay Z, I am not a fan i was dl instrumentals to flow once and it was really good. In case you didnt get it, there is an instrumental of it avail. BTW.
