It was all a conspiracy to draw attention away from hip hop. MTV's audience falls more in a pop/alrenative market. Hence, by finding average to poor battlers they have potrayed the state of hip hop as being weak.
Furthermore... By potraying hip hop as becoming weaker and weaker they are essentially telling people to support other types of music... Namely pop and laternative... Damn I need a beer |
