Q, you crossing the line, jo. Everyone that says they are a Christian for one is NOT a christian. Just like everyone that goes to church isn't guaranteed a spot in Heaven. Choose your words wisely when speaking on the behalf of God.

Dude called YOU an idiot, he said nothing bout God's word and he doesn't know you personally. That has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH JESUS AND HIS BELIEVERS. You adding extra statements that are irrelevant.

The discussion shifted about religion and Christianity. Now, I would explain what I was doing, but you'd find a reason to say it wasn't so. But, to amuse you, I was explaining to him what I not only believed, but what's said in the bible. AFter I answered his charge of "prove there is a God" he called me an idiot. Now, had we been talking about cooking cookies, I'd conclude he called me an idiot because I know nothing about baking. BUt, since I am a Christian and profess salvation, which I am saved thanks be to God, he's calling a Child of God an "idiot." He'll have to deal with that.

I don't think you get what dude trying to say to you. What you believe isn't what everyone else believes... There is NOTHING wrong with having a strong faith in God. I have a strong faith in God, I got a few messed up moments but whatever. I believe in God too. BUT other religions do exist and there are people who believe in "their god" as much as You believe in "your God". That's all. No one is bashing christianity in this thread anywhere. With your last two sentences, that's a personal issue. I know what you trying to say but some stuff you are saying as tho you are preaching to dude.

You taking it on a personal level. He's saying you are an idiot for rambling on about something irrelevant to what you were originally arguing about. But yeah, I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with what you are saying about God.

hmm...well, regardless of that...I'm not a child and I don't argue like one. So, I'll refrain from the name calling. Here's an interesting tidbit though. People tend to have a warped view of Christianity. People tend to believe that Christians should be these meek, lowly souls who offend no one. The truth is, Jesus offended alotta people. Jesus pissed off alotta people. Jesus had alotta enemies. With love, (which I haven't neglected), Christians are supposed to contend for the faith. Everyone isn't called or equipped to argue/debate the word of God. This discussion isn't even deep to me. Indeph brought up the issue of my faith which had NOTHING, NOTHING to do with the original point of this thread or Prozak's discussion. I'm a man of God and I've also been trained in science. There could be a discrepancy there, but there isn't. So, my whole argument originally had NOTHING to do with religion, Indeph brought it up. God doesn't command me to defend myself. I chose to use this as an opportunity to show that God's word can apply in modern situations. If indeph and whoever else doesn't like my style of debate/discussing, then there's no love lost. I make no apologies for standing up for what I believe in. People have NO PROBLEMS standing up for what they believe in. When dude called me an IDIOT, I'm sure he Believed it and declared it BOLDLY! Well, I declare boldly that let God be true and everyone else a liar!
