Well most "old school" rap I think was lyrically motivated...but at the same time there were still people even in the "old school" goign mainstream or whatever hence...vanilla ice....blah blah your always going to have those fake mainstream rappers that are going to sell records because aint everyine in the U.S or the world for that fact trying to hear dictionary references in their rhymes but just something to listen and dance to...But my all time fav old school album is De La Soul - De La Soul is Dead.. Yeah hott shit
