I agree. Plus, you can still have fun during the movie.

The theatre is not romantic. There are like 50 other people around you, acting like immature teenagers making out, and making sloppin' sounds here and there. Pay $10 to make out? Get a life.

Roses and candy are still going to cost you around $50.

I guess it depends on what is 'much' to you. For something that won't really be remembered in a week or two, I'd say $50 is a bit much. However, spending more than that on something other than flowers, I'm all for. (Which is what I did.)

The last valentines gift i gave was a small cactus and some bubble wrap.

I recieved (same day, same time) a small cactus (different looking, but a cactus nonetheless) and blu-tac.

Talk about on same wavelength, eh? Never really been into Valentines Day in the 'mainstream commerical' sense. Always treated it differently. Always got 'presents' according to myself and the person rather than what's put in front of me. It being past that...don't even put too much emphasis on it. Not as much as some people do anyway. Though still enough to seperate it A BIT from other days...

So i suggest you get her a cactus. Or soemthing else unconventional. And think up of reasons as to why you think it suits her as a present. Good indepth reasons. Ones which'll make her understand and value it above some flowers and chocolates or a cuddly bear. Maybe even make her shed a few tears...

...depth, man, depth.
