got dayum, Jay-Z is a FUCKin' biter and that's the technicalness of it because he doesn't put anybody else's name on credits for shit, the logisitics as far as HipHop goes is the same to me...you use THAT many people lines then you should NOT be known as the "best rapper alive" man...

IMO, it's not "biting" to me. It's not like he was trying ti hide it and thought noone was ever gunna find out y'know? It's pretty obvious that he takes some of his shit from people before him, but thats like quoting other peoples lyrics in your sig. And he's still one of the best with his own shit so it's not like he was "biting" to bump himself.

Yeah, he's addressed this himself so I dont understand why theres a thread about it. In his words he's only "biggin up his brotha." So, obviously he is not trying to hide it. Its not biting to use a line of an obviously known song. He may be repeating, but not biting. And, if you start a line that somebody else has used (as he did with a couple of the people that weren't Biggie) and add your own ending to it, thats not biting. That's almost a diss because you're starting their line and making it better. Got it?
