Big L, canibus, nas and sometimes jay-z has non-prewritten punches... almost ALL of eminem's "freestyle" punches are pre written... im sure there's more famous artists that can freestyle punches... not to brag but i can do it too... its not gonna be anything like "bet ur lyrics'll jump off tha track like racing cars" but it'll be somethin to at least get a giggle off of... ppl who think its hard to freestyle punches, the thing is (and i know this from experience) the more you practice freestyling, the better you will get... u elevate just from tha practice

Well depends on how you classify prewriting.

If you mean writing something completely before hand. And switching some stuff around to work against your opponent, then i feel you. I think thats retarded, true emcee's can freestyle or at least come up with something on the spot.

With me, what ill do is start writing once the battle is set up and if i got enough time ill go look for some personals otherwise i just try to think of witty lines and then copy it from notepad or whatever and paste it in the battle.
