I'd sign to any label that was a Mid-Price or better with bumps every 250,000 units at least and that wouldn't sting me on the producer's royaltee (unless I got to choose my own producers) and give me 12% SRP royaltee or 26% WS royaltee on the first album with bumps every album AND royaltees on ancillaries. Any label that didn't have cross colateralization (so that excludes badBoy right there easy) and any one of them that'd give me recording funds w/ difference on any tracks I produce my self. Especially if they're gona keep the royaltees on 'free goods' - be open for discussion if they decided not to. If they plan to press copies for mini disks like PSP or any other "new technology", I want favored nation rights. Period. The amount of albums in the term would ideally be less than 3 over 5 years with a release clause. Tour support would be great, but at this point, that's prolly asking a lot. At this point, I can forget a kay-man clause, lol.
And ANYTHING non recoupable. Even a motherfuckin t-shirt!! Meet these shits and I'd sign the contract on the damn spot.
