They remain true to the roots they most comfortable with...Proof was known to give alot back to detroit hiphop .Besides he was at a club most heads in the industry still go to clubs.But the man felt at home in detroit obviously someone wanted what he had .

Yea...dude may have come from there, but that's just not smart to put yourself and others at risk like that...Almost every famous person who "hangs out" at clubs ends up getting shot, shot at, or shooting someone else...

The only reason to be there is to perform...DUde has bank and the people around him are broke as hell...That's almost inviting trouble.

I'm not saying people from the hood are bad, but there's a mentality there that once you escape it, you shouldn't go back. I grew up in an area with that mindset in D.C. I wouldn't go back to that shit for the world. But, I do plan to create job opportunities there when I make it big. I just won't be on the local corner with the rest of the "homeboys".

Why anyone would continue to surround themselves with that element is beyond me. Giving back to your community is one thing. Going back to your community and acting as if you aren't rich is another. The people they're so-called boys with are dirt poor. These rappers drive around flashing what they have and wonder why they get jacked. I think it's dumb. That makes them "real" or "hard"...nah son...It's the exact reason Camron got his ass stuck here in D.C...niggas don't give a fuck...No, hang out on the corner with a lambo...??
