To Be Honest...I Don't Know Why I Bothered

Like I said before, the image of God is what turned people off. I'm not part of any religion, but I do believe in God. You don't see or hear him you feel him. The thing is, you either choose to believe in God or you don't. Science itself simply expands on what I BELIEVE god created. I swear people think when you take apart indivisual peices of a machine than the machine doesn't exist as a whole anymore. Just because you can think of new terms and recognize the smaller building blocks of life doesn't mean God didnt create it. I'm not even a christian, it's just how I believe it is. If you actually think your perspective on shit is the ultimate truth than you're the one who needs to think about shit more man.

Well why are you arguing? We have the same views.

I believe in god. Because from a scientific standpoint, the innitial conditions for life on earth spawn from such a small ass margin that it is beyond the realm of chance.

But dont steriotype my views, because to me.. God could even be an unidentified alien intelligence that constructed the conditions in our solar system for harbouring life.

I only go on what I can understand from the scientific data I have observed.

I'm basically the same way. The thought of God being an alien intellegence from another world really tightens my brain. *feels utterly insignificant*

I have a lot of facts that can back that view...

But its still very fringe so I wont bother going into it in this thread for the simple fact that religous people arnt going to be able to forumate arguments against anything I've said..

So I wont give them the opportunity to argue a different post and ignor the origional question.

Well, Im muslim, and even I know that my beliefs are flawed and biased. But its something I must hold on to to have any hope of living happy, you know? I never could see myself as an atheist. Im a lonely guy, I dont have any friends really, so whenever Im by myself I feel the need to talk to somebody, who better than god?

Why don't we just leave it at that? Look at yourself. You're concious. You are a sentient being, alive, working... Existing. Isn't that amazing? What are you? What is youre true nature? What are you actually supposed to do in this life?

I mean, personally, I'm ignostic so I'm not trying to defend religion in any sense because it's very pure origins have been so obscured throughout the years that now it's no more than a cult, or right of passage for the sake of convience. But the thing that keeps me ignostic aposed to athiest is that which is unknown. I mean, like the examples above, we never met or saw the majority of these people anymore believably than we saw images of Jesus... Through painting and through completed works. When invention are created, often they are denied their rightful respect until it's aplication is dubbed useful... But with religion there are more individualist views on what is to be considered "useful."

Religion is what you make it, there is an inate sense of comfort or nothingness from religion, and depending on your stance that is where your opinions will fall. But I don't see purpose in attacking a religion. The mind is a powerful thing, and if you believe so thoroughly in something than it's essance is there. Religion is much similar to anxiety, it's all in your head. If you believe or have an axiety dissorder than you think symptoms to the point of hypochondria... Where you truly feel the ailments. Religion follows a similar pretense.

Make it what you want.
