^^^So, there's one...STFU.

#2...I know being "openly gay" isn't marketable because of people's biases and fears. But, my point is, if rap is about venting and expression, then why in the 25+ years of rappers hasn't there been one to actually talk about being gay. Again, am I to conclude that in 25 years, there's never been ONE GAY RAPPER?

Niet.

that sounds like complete steaming bullshit since hip hop was NEVER....EVER "all about raging against the establishment".

#2, there's been a gay rapper before and he made it absolutely nowhere.

just like you have!

Amazing...there have been rap songs about:

Sexism
Classism
Racism

Yet, none about homophobia and bigotry...

Case closed.

That kind of attitude is why armchair intellectuals and politicians hate hip hop and its population.

They could, it just depends how liberal the audience is, if its todays casual listener, then yes. But its possible a gay rapper could sell, as long as he's dope and creative, the gay part just adds to the publicity.

That kind of close minded thinking is analogous to that of your rock/punk/metal listener who wont listen to or associate with rappers because they represent the ills of society. Drugs, bitches, money, gangs, etc.

If hip hop cant accept a guy because he's different in his sexual preference then hip hop is being hypocritical in trying to advocate "freedom" of expression and right to aesthetic pursuit without having people point fingers in bigotry. We might as well kneel, look up and shout "Sieg Heil" if we make leeway for cultural double standards.

I thought most armchair intellectuals and politicians hated hip hop because it resides with the african american lifestyle and culture. Oh, and politicians are WORST then rappers, lmao, if you havent noticed
ever politican that has came out gay, RESIGNED!
if a rapper came out gay, do you think he would stop rappin?
I dont think so
lets still be thankful that we havent came across a gay rapper yet

Nope wrong, if you actually listen to politicians or journalists and dont believe everything you hear about them, they dislike hip hop because of what it stands for (urban violence, money, drugs, sex, etc), lastly the african american lifestyle thing is just a makeshift afrocentric people come up with to assert themselves as victims and "products" of their environment.
