Hip Hop is a lifestyle.....and of course if your not black and your living that lifestyle specificly white then your going to be criticized heavily because the cultures of the world despise on white rappers. I mean how many famous and respected white rappers do you see? uhhh,Eminem? lol and Bubba Sparxx but we all know that bubba is well.....FLOP lol......Hip Hop IS prodomantly afrrican americans......but as leady said some of the best lyricists have been white ie:eminem,apathy,brother ali etc. etc. but I belive that being a white rapper is more accepted....I dont like the "SKIN TONE" judgement though....its just Black people are into hip hop more I guess

word at the words about new zealand. Im not gonna sit here and say we the best thing out, but we definitly underated, even hated when it come to hip hop.

I agree completely actually...

Hip-hop is a icon of African American culture.

BUT...

Country and Rock and Roll are both icons of the "white population", and both have black artists.
