I was targetting this to the christians who believe we were born dominate.

The reason is back in ancient/medievel times, after some of the prophets that lived to be 800 years old, many people died before the age of 40. Now, in that period, you have to learn a craft, raise a family, and be sure your sons and daughters are ready for the rest of their lives. Now considering that most people cannot reproduce until 12, that gives you 28 years (if you get pregnant at that age) to establish a career, raise a family, and prepare your children to be ready for their life.

The only possible way we could survive is by marriage at early ages. This caused the population to grow, and because of modern medicine, we started to live longer but our bodies did not adapt to that.

It is believed that cave men did not live past 18 often.

So in essence, we needed to reproduce early on. Also, the laws of marriage are man made, not by God. We decided that children should not have children and raise families. Which I agree with no less, we no longer have to have kids so young, so we can enjoy life more.

truth is most people who go to church etc. and all that DONT do it just cuz its "the right thing to do" and because they truly wanna enhance their soul and just be in the light of god, they do it cuz they think if they dont theyll go to hell and wont get all the nice perty shiny things in heaven

im gonna have to agree with apexx though that it seems naive and foolish to base an entire life off of something you have no clue exists, and im sure when i die god will understand that, what is god gonna punish me cuz i didnt blindly believe in every single thing the bible said or quran etc.? isnt that just a dictatorship, if anything i should be rewarded for using my mind to question all of these things, not just be a sheep following whatever some 2000 year old book tells me

said it all right there. you know, i used to be so deep into christianity it's mind boggling. read the bible cover to cover, was embraced by the pastors at my church, went to retreats frequently, even wanted to be a priest at one point. then an alarm went off in my head when i realized that i had to repeatedly ignore facts and suspend my supreme instinct and "god given" ability called logic in order for me to believe in the things the bible tells me. now that doesn't add up. if something is so powerful as these mortal men who crafted this story claim it is, it would A: all add up, and B: wouldn't contradict since that's not a trait of a fact, and C: would be undenyable.

ignoring facts never sat right with me. but then again, neither did burying my head in the sand.
