and that's before you factor in the legendary rock solid mac reliability.

The average person gets on internet explorer to do a school project, play solitare, and goes on with there life. And not only that but you can get a dell for about 500, a decent dell which has great customer service(fuck what you think, its true) EVERY Mac, I have been able to find, is alot more then that if its the same level

Plus I dont know how good Mac's are for gaming

Walk into any LARGE CORPORATION, they are using windows. They have server capabilities that Mac doesnt.

Dawg...I don't know how powerful the most powerful PCs are...But, here at howard, I'm workin with a program that's incorporating unbelieveable technology into the classrooms...Im talkin 85 inch plasma touch screens controlled by G5s and Macnbooks using a Mac Mini! Add to that teleconferencing all on wireless ethernet...

I couldn't imagine a PC running all this seamlessly.

yeah most schools use mac's but most schools have alot of server problems to go with that. Love our educational system <3 We usually get our report cards 2-3 weeks later cause the servers cant handle the amount of people working on that shit.

wow, you sir are truely unknowledgable on what you're talking about.

the average person gets on firefox to look at porn and web sites, nobody plays solitare these days, they blog, messageboard, you-tube, and multimedia themselves to death. and you can get a brand spanking new mac for $600 that blows any pc within it's price range out of the toilet on both speed, multimedia, maintanience, and reliability. not to mention intangibles like space, noise, and cost to own due to 60% fewer processor calls. lmao windows XP runs faster on my mac than it does in its native environment.

and a mac won't be a door stop in 2 years either. you can pic up PC's for free at your local dumpster.

btw, ever heard of SUN microsystems which runs Lynux? or Apache, the #1 server in the world?

if you have, then you already know that a macs are naturally built to the high server standards to begin with and are still so simple to use a 5yr old can master it.

inform your self man cuz you're swimming in way uncharted territory.

My dad works for one of the top Data Consulting companies (In Miami at least), the Department of Health uses Windows. The mayors use windows, important people use windows. My sister still plays solitare, she was asking me what YouTube was the other day cause she saw her little cousin watching videos. Because the people on forums do that, doesnt mean everybody else does. If I told most of my friends "do you have firefox?" They'd say, WTF is that? There is people still paying for AOL cause they dont know how to work most the shit out.

We're talkin operation power here...I meant to say I dunno how efficient the most powerful PCs are..But, we're runnin on some serious Horsepower here, using MACS!

I can't imagine a PC running the technology we have here...never.

And yes, i am a convert...Imean, even look at a PC laptop when you buy it. It has all these tacky stickers on it advertising the "features". Even that looks cheap! Macs are a step above, IMO.

Sheek!

One respondent wrote in two categories we should have included: graphing/data manipulation, and interface with instruments.

lol like the mayors office means anything to the average consumer. if you wanna play solitate, go download a solitare game. it's a little pathetic that that's th most exciting thing you can do with a pc outta the box, but that's another story. there is literally not one thing you can do on a pc that you can't do faster fuller and more skillfully on a mac. if you do anything that involves images, text, or sound, it's clear a mac is far and away a better choice for personal computing.

stop trying to chump off your lack of awareness and just admit you're scared of anything different.

That was talking about the server, not the average consumer.
Solitare is just something to do while bored, not the most fun, most people dont even know what message boards are as far as I have seen. I dont know anybody who does any PC gaming off of a MAC computer, you cant change them at all, your stuck with whatever they gave you. With PC's you can go ahead and change whatever you want, instead of having to buy a new computer. Sure the hardware already in has to work with whatever you wanna add, but thats not very hard to do.

Lack of awareness? Im telling you the average person does in fact use a regular pc, and doesnt use it for shit besides goign on the internet to do some bullshit, and play solitare if they get bored. I know people who go on forums everyday who dont even know what youtube is, or go to 'watch porn' or use firefox

And I dont like homo's cause well, The bible calls you hopeless, repent or go to hell, sorry. I hope you do realize what your doing is wrong, I dont wish anybody to go to hell, but its alot more then believing god is real, you have to mean it with your heart, and that also means you need to repent, and stop your current lifestyle.
