lol, you dont understand man... there are always going to be poor people and rich people, we can't make EVERYBODY rich, and thats not the purpose of organizations such as the NAACP. The purpose is to fix the huuuuuge gap in education and wealth between whites and blacks... YES, the percentages. nobody thinks everybody should be rich; the PERCENTAGE of blacks to whites living in poverty should just be a whoooooole lot closer. thats the point.

that is an irrelevant argument... you have to look at what happened on such of a large scale in the US and caused the economic situation that we're in, and thats the slavery of blacks in the United States. the fact that "whites have been slaves before" is completely irrelevant because it obviously didnt have any effect on our society.

I grew up a minority. I grew up as a white kid in a primarily black society. My school was mostly black, my neighborhood was mostly black......I still couldn't get shit. I would have to travel farther than some of the black kids who got free bus tokens, and who's parents made more than my single mother. Guess who I'd end up buying the tokens off of for a discounted price.......they'd just walk home cause they lived right around the corner. I'm just about as athletic as they come, but guess who always got picked last until he proved himself every year.


Black people talk about all their problems and how they had everything taken from them......no shit, we all know that. What the hell are you gonna do about it now? Instead of sulking about your great grandparents, go out there and make something of yourselves. Go to college......if you make it in, you pretty much go for free. All that "Whites get Pell Grants" shit that was said earlier is fuckin ridiculous. Pell Grants are awarded to just about everyone who applies to college regardless of race, color or creed. Do you know how many "black scholarships" there are that whites are ineligible for simply because they are white? Did you know that George W. Bush passed a bill that allows minorities to get lower intrest rates on their houses. They save thousands and thousands of dollars a year cause G.W.B thought there weren't enough black home owners.


But yeah......everything's going against the blacks

what you fail to realize is that most black kids CANT go to college because #1 they live in the ghetto as a result of their granparents not being able to provide for their parents, so their parents cant provide for them, so they have to go to a shit school, get a shit education, and you cant go to college on a shit education, its alot of shit i could say to the ignorance displayed here, but you will never understand, it doesent matter if you grew up around black people, you just will NEVER get it

I think the issue about a shitty education isn't getting into college itself, but actually doing well enough to stay in college. People who went to schools that did less to prepare the students for college will be behind the other college students who went to better schools. Thanks to affirmative action, just about every college has spots for the less privileged and underrepresented ethnicities. Of course if one graduated in the middle of their class in their ghetto high school, they will have a hard time getting accepted anywhere. On the other hand, if they are in the top 5%, and especially if they are the valedictorian, they will have a lot better chance since when the admissions officer looks at the transcript, where you stand in your class shows them how you did because everyone from the school is on an equal footing. After grades, the next issue of importance would be SATs and then extracurricular activities. While they won't be able to compete with the kid whose parents paid hundreds of dollars for SAT tutoring, you can still prepare by taking practice tests and memorizing word lists for the verbal sections. As for extracurricular activies... join clubs, play sports, and volunteer. Basically, the more you set yourself apart from the other people, you better chance you will have to get accepted.

And if your parents can't afford to pay for college and your high school resume looks good, apply to Emory University here in ATL. Starting this fall, if your parents make less than $50k a year, they will give you grants to cover all tuition, room, and board. If they make less than $100k, the college will cover all costs after $15k in loans. That is a $180k education for literally free.

I disagree with the, "not allowing asian, hispanic, or black clubs" statement.
A good majority of those clubs are about finding your culture. It's a lot of history about your ancestors, and who did this and who did that. I think every race should be allowed that, theres nothing wrong with it at all. If anything it should be encouraged.

I think for the most part, if you're white, dig deeper into the culture bag and rep that part of you. Dont just state that your white, that narrows it down to about a fourth of the globe. Be more exclusive, say that your proud to be Irish, German, Ukrainian, whatever you are. Aint nobody going to get on your case about that.

For the record though, I do agree with a lot of the first post.

i get what ya'll saying it just sounds bad ta say "im proud ta be white" or whatever me im white but am either here or there with it..i could care less whether im black, white, chinese, whatever...i dont take pride in being white and i dont get upset that im white i just dont care...but it's foolish ta say that i should hide whatever pride i have in being white...i think us whites because of our past should probably get in more detail than just saying "im white and proud to be white" but we shouldnt ignore it niether
