a widget is like...mmm like a mini program. like there's a widget that'l show you your local weather from your neighborhood, one for the yellowpages, one that'll turn your computer on and off when you want it to, one for best gas prices in your area, email checkers, virus scanners, radios that pulls up any station, flight trackers, stock prices, games, scheduels and alarms, ones that'll let you track the votes of your senators, etc etc etc, pretty much anything imaginable, and that's not including the ones that tie into sites. i guess you'd have to see one in action to get a better idea.


pretty easy to look at what comes stock on one system and copy it plus one wouldn't you say?

I hate all the security shit it has... Microsoft are really trying to crack down on piracy. You have to be on your toes all the time if you get a pirate copy, and fuck getting retail.
