and to be completely honest. I have talked to you many times before on rv. I do think you are an intelligent dude, I was under the impression we were both just flipping eachother shit. As soon as i saw you say you're smart. i knew you were going to say i was joking...just to prove some sort of point, not because you honestly felt that way. Which is why i did it in return.

But to put it simply, if you honestly can say you doubt my intellectual capacity, that is a reflection of your own intelligence..not mine.

i figured that's what was going on.

I figured you were trying to see how i would respond, and i had an IDEA that just maybe, you were expecting me to either, 1. ask you if you were serious...in which case you could put me in the same category as this fellow for being paranoid and not believing people when they say i'm smart.
or 2. say thanks. in which case you can say "i'm joking". which brings up a couple more scenarios. that i won't get into.

This is all based on the circumstance though. Had I not felt like you might be trying to play devils advocate, i wouldn't have thought about it all.


Next time I am in a situation like this. I will respond by saying.

which leaves no room for anyone to try and find any sort of loop hole or contradiction in my response without excessive pursuit....

and if excessive pursuit were to occur, i would simply quote john dryden
