nas!! simply coz of ether..possibly the best diss track ive ever heard..plus the fact jay z put out two diss tracks..the first one the takeover...then after ether..got myself a gun or sumthing like that..jay also went around radio stations and threated the djs not to play it thas how shook jay was by ether. nuff said..im mistified by the ppl who think jay won

nas took this crown straight up, and illmatic is tha best album in all of hip-hop no question about it , jay-z was good back around '96 so maybe he got hott from listenin' 2 too much nas and got sum samplez of him too.

"you made it a hot line, i made it a hot song" jay couldn't be more true. nas hasn't made anything remotely close to illmatic since its release. jay has made CDs equal to and better than his first release. he has only gotten better. face it, nas lost. nas can only throw out jay-z gay-z and rocafella cock-a-fella disses that kids in grade school run around saying. nas is weak when it comes to battles. jay served him with one verse.
