hardcore's got it a bit twisted... sure it's cool to be inspired by the music, but that doesn't mean that iconic role models arent' important...

hip hop and rap was founded on the ideals that young black americans could do somthing powerful and creative... and those young black americans saw what was possible and the culture grew...

if i saw an asian rapper and was inspired by the image of the oriental then am i not doin the same thing...

If the culture is growing, expanding, etc. Then no one should be complaining. Shit started off where if you sold 100,000 copies of a cd you were considered amazing, and its now at the point where gold (500,000) inst good enough. Black, white, Brown, green.....Who cares, good music is good music. If jin makes music i feel, i feel it. If common makes good music i feel, i feel it. If em makes good music, i feel it. So what if someone was inspired by an asian rapper, whats wrong with that?

my facts are straight... u just took what i said wrong... now jin does have talent... as a freestyle artist... he had drag on,swizz beats and cross teach him how to write songs... anyway this dudes songs are wack, he used tired ass punchlines and shit, shit i would say ina battle and i suck... so do i think he is tryin to make money off his race? yeah, his first fuckin single is called Learn fuckin chinese... sure he has some shread of talent but the biggest part of his hype is that hes fuckin asian... so to me this is just a annoying ass gimmick... because hes playin off his fagget ethnicity... and as for the earl boykins thing... thats a different situation cuz ur not there solely for him, ur there for the team, and he doesnt make anymore money if u buy tix or not, since his contract is set... now jin makes more money themore he sells, so hes doin everything he can to make money... as where boykins has to actually produce good quality in order to make money...

soulful is bang on... we aren't talkin about gimmicks anymore... but the point is asian rappers aren't really a growing trend so much as hip hop is becoming a very multiculturally diverse platform for artists...

that's why i love rap so much, doesn't matter who you are you can convey a message... someday there will only be one race, the human race, and we will all listen to hip hop and share ideas through it's artform...
