Don't get me wrong, there is nowhere in my statment where I said that other people can't practice the art, it's an Art right? But the people who invented it automatically are gonna be more authentic, because they made it, the rules, the elements, and all.. I used to dislike a lot of English rap but recently the stuff thats come out has changed my mind sonofsis is right in what he's saying except for one thing...hip hop isn't American born...it's an African form of music evolved from the original days of Soul, Jazz, reggae a mix of all the African musics before slavery and shit...America is only rated the best at rap because it's been blown up there and U.S rappers have made sure there voices are heard...but there's a hell of a lot more sell outs out there the commercial hip hop has slipped terribly out in the U.S recently while U.K hip hop is still raw and yet to blow up but we on the same level lyrically you jus need to remove that America is the best at everything attitude...the worst US rapper ain't better than the best UK rapper so really there is no this is the best category it's more individual talent not National talent...remember that.
