I pray for the day when people realize that topicals are a complete joke. You never hear on the radio "here's a new topical from Jay Z!! and no emcee known to man was ever famous for his "topical skills". They get skilled for Story telling. I agree 100%, if u can put urself in sum1 elses place and tell a story from their perspective, the stuff ur writing will be different to ur usual style plus it takes a lot more brain power to extract their emotions feelings, if u keep doin that then ur music will be varied and interesting.
