Word, well if you dont know me, I been there for a hot minute as you can see from my join date and sig.

I mod The Lounge, and I'd agree with ya'll that there is a bunch of follow the leader stuff. I dont know anything about text so I can't talk on that, but from what I've heard we have a bunch of people who have a cult of followers.

I think our lack of variety in our audio will be the death of it. Over here, you guys battle and shit regularly.... I respect that. Over there, unless it's two people who are well known, it goes unnoticed. And Songs are treated like a step-child. If I go into songs, I have an idea already of who will be stickied, and whose threads will have numerous replies. The only time others get responces is when they leave their link in someone elses.

While I agree with what the other "mods & admins" have said that "If they want their song stickied they should drop dope". I have to disagree with how it's working out. Obviously if (Insert Notable Netcee) posts a track, people will flock and reply, it doesn't need to be stickied, but is (Decent Head) drops a track that's worth criticism, he wont get it stickied because it's not dope "enough" but you can't get better without proper feedback.

It's frustrating not being able to have a say in decisions, but being expected to follow whatever as well. I've noticed that everytime someone is admined, they are active for a few then they tend to fade out, I dunno why but just happens. and suggestions are usually waved off, instead of reworked and developed.

This site, it's more accepting of new people, yet it lacks anything reputable. It's well organized but it lacks content. It's like everyone is still taking baby steps. But at the same time, everyone is more conscious of the site as a whole, like they are more site-wide activities. Shit ya'll been around a year and dropped an RV Mixtape, we've been around for a while and STILL haven't for w/e reasons. I was glad to be a part of it, cause hey that's exposure for me, and it wasn't like you have to have a certain level of net-respect to get on. Niggas just put you on cause you had your shine.

Yeah and from the begginning this site was like that, and I think it's because most the ppl here started here, elevated here, and know how it is to be new to the site, so they're more accepting.

And then again... I never thought RB cats were ever too impressive... cuz on my own time, I write stuff far better than what's on there... but I'm not going to judge further nor beef about it. I'm just saying that neither site is all that great... the only reason I stay here is cuz It's so laid back and chill.

But--
I'll tell you why the fading out shit happens though, its because the geeks that spend so long (years even) desperatly trying to gain enough respect untill they finally do get chosen for an admin spot on that website.. Reaching what some would say the epitomy of their forum (which is what a lot of nerdy faggots aspire to on RB), begin to see through the bullshit and get bored of the site realising theyve spent so long wanting the respect admins get, to getting it and then understanding that its only extra work and definatly not as cool as they thought..

I went through a small admin stage back around 2002.. Afterwhich I took a break for 2 years cause I lost interest in battling sites. Now a days I just mod RV and I could care less about being known on the internet battling scene..

Its annoying to me when net fags talk to me as if I fit the steriotype of your average netcee though.. But theres not much you can do about that, kids think in terms of what they understand.. I'm not a netcee, therefore they dont understand me. This is another reason I jus chill on RV where I know most of the people and dont have to witness pathetic loser geek's on ego trips as often as you do on other sites..
