I dont even know where to start, I was saying the NBA markets hip-hop culture.... and you said you're gonna have to dress nice in the future when you apply to jobs? This isnt about me, and I doubt Im going to be applying for a job in the NBA. Any statement that other jobs dont market hip-hop is supporting my argument.

and i never argued that this was racist, I say it targets the hip-hop culture thought, and because of the nature of the NBA and how they market that very culture, that is wrong.

How are you going to prove me wrong? There is nothing to prove.

This is a discussion about what we think of the dress code. You're just the only fucking idiot to actually think that the "white people in the offices" are trying to smash the hip hop culture by making them dress professionally to and from their jobs.

Just shut the fuck up.

shit, I saw we let the guys do their job, play ball and live their lives how they want to.... like AI said - "putting a murderer in a suit doesnt make him not a killer." What are they trying to protect?

But yet you made the thread title "NBA Dress Code - Racist?"

They can play ball and live their lives, but you dress for the job.

It's not that fucking hard to grasp.

amd ur stereotyping and judging ppl anyways. Not every nba player (black or otherwise) is into hip hop, so ur bein prejudice. Maybe the team has to wear suits to stop the differences being so obvious (hence the reason for skool uniforms) so maybe the suits have a practical purpose as well as just being professional.

the dress code specifically said "no white tees, jerseys (which IS their fucking uniform!!!!), ect".... which does kind of call-out the hip-hop culture

NO IT DOESN'T.

It forces people to dress professionally for their job. Their fucking job isn't just playing basketball and call it a day.

I never said you made up this article.. I'm just calling you an idiot for actually thinking the NBA is "racist" or "bringing down the hip hop culture" because they make the players dress profesionally to and from games.

I DONT think that the NBA is racist necessarily, and Ive said that over and over again, that was just the title of the article that I presented to RV.

BUT, I do think that they are marketing the hip-hop culture by using these players, then telling them that they cant dress in the way thats making the NBA the fucking money....
