maybe because "non believers" are looking for verifiable facts (also known as...proof) where as "believers" umm...well...BE-LIE-VE what they read and hear.

So, as a defense mechanism, they bring up what they feel is an "insult" to me, even though I have no problem with my sexuality. It's almost like when someone is pointing out your "flaws" and you start to pick on what you THINK are their "flaws." Little do they know I have no problem with my sexuality or how it ties into my faith in God. That's THEIR problem. |

The bible doesn't say "BEING" gay makes you go to hell. The bible says gay SEX is an abomination to God. So, a person can be tempted to have sex with someone of the same sex and not be in violation of any biblical principles. LK brought up homosexuality when it have NOTHING, NOTHING to do with the topic of this thread. (in another thread) People are fixated on it because they're struggling with their own issues. n dabatos,there is a huge difference between catholics and christians,they dont even read the same bible,yes they do both believe in jesus but thats about it...catholics read the good news bible,christians read the holy bible...christians do not put any emphasis on holy mary or anything like that,and if u went to their churches,you'd see the difference......no offense to anyone here but catholic churches are spooky ...period...
....and,i'd put money on it that the Q is pentacostal,not baptist |

Scheme, I agree that some churches are like that, but honestly, the impression I've always gotten from Catholics is that they pray to Mary and other "Saints" as intercessors to GOD, which are not needed...GOD can hear YOU pray, so why do you have to go through someone else or confess your sins to another mere mortal?... to me, Catholicism is a religion where people follow blindly, most Catholics I've met know nothing about their religion, they follow "traditions" just because and have no idea why they do what they do and couldn't ever explain to me why they prayed to Mary...to me, speaking to GOD is a personal thing so what is the oint of having memoriZed prayers?...prayer is from your heart to GOD's ears, something memoriZed rather pointless...and as Christians we are SUPPOSED to spread our religion Quote:
