one minute you're talkign about "average user" the next minute you're talkign about gaming. if you want to play games, buy a play station, or a pc you wont use for anything else but playing games on. if you want to everything else but dodge viruses and patch glitches, if you actually enjoy using your computer and couldn't give a flying fuck less about solitare, you'd rather be making music, movies, videos, or broadcasting yor own radio station right out the box, buy a mac.

if i really wanted ot be an asshole i'd tell you that every high-end CGI movie since jurasic Park has been sculpted on macs. ever heard of a small filmhouse movie called The Matrix? all macs. toystory Shrek? etc etc etc and so on and so fourth.

PC's are dinosaurs man. people use em for the same people some racers still use carbureturs. not cuz it's better, but because it's all they know.

yeah, i don't doubt it. i mean when they've been rehashing and patching the same OS for over 9 years, i'd hope in the 10th year they got it right. or at least mostly right. but once again, windows is the exact opposite of the most stable operating systems (between linux, osx, and windows) and people only stick to windows for the same reason people stil stick to carbureturs.

Yeah, I know what you mean. One of the worst things you can do is judge people though. I don't know how Q is going now, but I remember a while back he was talking about being abstinent for the reasons you just said. I don't know if he followed through with it or what, but we should just leave people alone and let them deal with themselves.
