What does it matter if the Pac 10 is a weak conference? UCLA was still a legit national championship contender either way. Just like Memphis. Actually, most sports writers had the PAC 10 as either the best or 2nd best basketball conference in america. And Kansas was shit at the start of the season? really? considering they didnt lose their first game of the season until after the halfway point of the regular season..i really dont see your argument. alright first, love will be nothin like reeves. he had no jumper whatsoever, was a slightly above average inside defender and got lost in rebounding numbers.

love can shoot a good mid range shot, is a monster down low on his strength alone when it comes to blocking and rebounding. He will also be a coaches best friend in pressure situations with his accurate outlet passing.


Rose played a bunch of good teams with a great team around him. CDR has lottery pick talent and i dont see why he went so low. Dorsey also killed teams last year with his rebounding. even though i didnt agree with the pick, its not really anything to be discouraged about. i See Beasley growing into a more talented Shawn Marion and See rose as being able to possibly grow into a Baron Davis when you talk about athleticism at the point. Either way they are both going to be all stars. Just dont be suprised if there are a couple people out of this draft whose careers are even better than both of theres because there were a lot of question marks in this draft.

on a side note Mayo is not an overrated talent but he is an overrated player. by his ability he should be the next great 2 gaurd in the league but as a basketball player he is shitty. i hope the coaches in minnesota are great because if they are than they might have a HOF on their roster, if not they're going to have the basketball equivilent of ryan leaf. He just makes terrible choices on the floor and can easily be game planned against. never really been a fan of his and lost a lot of respect after how he handled the last possesion of the Mcdonalds all american game

ranking means everything in college basketball...especially during the regular season. It basically determines the difficulty of your teams path to the final 4. If your in the top 10, then you are likely to get a 2 or 3 seed in the tournament..making your chances of a national title run easier. If say you are ranked around 25th-30th...you hold a chance of being a 7 or 8 seed...which makes your path to the final 4 a shit ton harder. If you go in as an 8 seed and win your first game..you have to play a 1 seed in the 2nd round.....ranking means everything.

for example, look at college football ...USC, Pac-10 is the fucking LAAAAMMMEEESSSTTTTT confreence in the god damn world...yet why are they ranked number one?? ooh i know why, cuz they are everyones fucking favorite.

well in basketball..its hard to rank a mid major school in the top 25...they just dont get as good of talent as the big conferences. But, really they havent been biased...look at Drake and Butler this season...

as far as football...i agree with the Pac 10 being way overrated...they have 1 dominant team in USC...who runs through the conference every year..and a couple of teams that are usually decent in Oregon, UCLA, Arizona State, Cal...UCLA will be garbage this season. But, USC has a legit program every season. They are a recruiting nightmare. They will have the #1 recruiting class in the nation for the 09 high school class cause they already have a commitment from the #1 player in the nation, QB Matt Barkley who throws like a fucking pro if you watch his film..its rediculous. Plus they already have some other big name commitments as well. 4 stars and 5 stars galore. They are a legit top 5 team nearly every season. They wouldnt run through the SEC like they do the PAC 10..but they would still be a national championship contender...even in a conference like the SEC. They have an easier road the the NC game with that weak ass schedule...BUT they do play Ohio State this season in a game that could determine who goes to the NC game at years end...should be interesting. Oh, and they probably wont come into the season ranked 1st. top 2-5, probably. I suspect Ohio State or Georgia to be #1 in the preseason polls. Anyone that thinks USC isnt a top 5 team is kidding theirselves though...and im a Bama fan...roll tide.
