deser_eagle

you must listen to 50 cent, cos your a faggot.

I'd like to see you write:

I'm above average in verbal cemantics/
The Aurora Borialis in the form of a rap ballad/
They look at me like poor bastard/
Why can't you manipulate Billboard with all your metaphor magic?/

You just dont understand what hes saying. Herb.

Ill Explicit does have some very valid points though. When you think back, Eminem was kinda a innovator. What was ruling in 1996? Bad Boy and Death Row = Puff Daddy and Dre = gangsta crap. Eminem was prolly one of the few that took clever punchlines and great lyricism at a high standard. Even though Infinite wasn't incredibly original, it has almost unmatched lyricism. I don't know many rappers that can write like this:

In a slug fest I get physical like physicians
Invisible like magicians wit mystical mic traditions

Thats 3 eight-syllable rhymes... just cos he makes a few pop singles now and has an image now doesnt mean he sucks... sure his lyrics are average these days, but I know most of you who hate him now hated him even during his Marshall Mathers/Slim Shady days but didn't have a reason until Eminem Show and this racism crap started. You would make 3 pop singles out of an album of 15 songs too if it could earn you $80 million over 4 years.

I do agree however, that Canibus will win.

And also don't forget that Eminem was actually one of the first white rappers, whether you believe it or not. Besides Vanilla Ice and Eyedea, I don't know many other ESTABLISHED white rappers that started before 1996, when Eminem released his first official record - this means it's likely Eminem has been battling since as early as 1992.

Em regurgitated a line:
Quote:
What happened to the way you was rappin' when you was scandalous the Canibus turned into a television evangelist"

Infinite:
Quote:
Livin as scandalous as a television evangelist

Eminem will love it if canibus does a really good track cos it'll give him a chance to really get goin' on him. No-one else he ever beefs wit is amazin' lyrically so Em'll love the challenge and be certain he will respond wit' somethin' breath takin'

Oh and by the way......Mos Def's version of Children's Story should have been left at that......no other versions should have been reproduced from the Slick Rick original.....other than the Mos Def one because that was dope......

Why is dudes here ridin Canibus' dick so much...its fuckin hilarious really...

Eminem vs Canibus..

Thats a no contest battle right there...its just dudes here are fuckin racist...and hate everything about Em...its pitifull.

If you do some research ya'll would see that Eminem is the most lyrical person hip hop has ever seen...and don't even fuckin talk about Eydea or that other dude...Eydea is garbage compared to Em...

And I'm not sayin I don't like Canibus...Im sayin get your heads outcha asses and face facts...Eminem is the last person someone would want to battle track for track or face to face.

And for the person who said Benzino killed Em in their beef...you gotta be Benzino's cusin or sumthin to think he beat Em...Benzino is terrible...just another fake mc

And thats my opinion

PERIOD!

^ You must really love the taste of Eminem's nuts.

And I say this, even though I'm an Eminem fan : Eminem will get roasted - unless he can respond without a catchy chorus and a pop beat.

And anyway - you must not listen to much hip-hop if you think Eminem is the best lyricist of all time. I'll give you a short list of people who, all round, are lyrically surperior:

Canibus
Rakim
Nas
Jay-Z
Method Man
Redman
GZA
KRS-One

and thats just a short list.

^^^What? around that time ALL of the underground emcee rhymed like that, Common, Talib Black Thought, Keith Murry...they all were underground at the same time, and that was 'the thing to do' back then. Underground cats have a image to protray just like commercial do, it just a different image. Your Lord and Savoir Eminem didn't innovate shit, Inifinte is just Slim's basement kareoke verson of Illmatic, and he even said hisself that Masta Ace is the father to his style...

And 40 ounce you on that GOOD crack for what you said.....

D-Dizzle, but thats just the thing. All the lyricists were underground. Thanks to innovators like Eminem, we now have glimpses of lyrical greatness in mainstream music. Nas, Jay-Z, Biggie, Eminem, DMX - they all came from the same era, and none of them were popular at first, because they were different, but now they are ruling the rap game in terms of mainstream. When they were underground, paving the way for themselves, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg were the representatives of rap, and they certainly are not good lyricists.

You have to admit, new-skool hip-hop is the most lyrically advanced mainstream rap ever.
